Throw me a bone.

I went to see a cool (figuratively and literally) place last night. I don’t usually enjoy going to places like this ’cause, as my friends will tell you, Im pretty much a killjoy. I guess I just don’t like people seeing me having fun. They might think I’m normal.

Anyway, I went to see Dino’s Alive World Tour last night. It is in the SM Mall of Asia grounds, just in front of SMX. It’s a big thing and kinda out of place so I’m sure you won’t miss it. It looks like a huge rock structure emulating a cave and I think a volcano. By the way, I went with Winston. He asked me to be there and I thought I was soooo special. Then I found out, I was to be his camera man. Weeee -_- . Still, I thanked him ’cause I got in for free because of him. Aaanyway, when we went in, I got to see this huge skeleton of a T-Rex. I was not really surprised as a huge skeleton of a T-Rex will always be around when it comes to dinosaurs. I was interested in the cute “hatchlings” that hung from trees and moved. So cute. We went into the main walk path to see the not so skeleton version of the dinosaurs. I won’t get into too much detail so you’ll enjoy your trip inside, but what I can tell you is, some of the dinos were really cool. When you see them up close and touch them (which the signs says you shouldn’t do and which I blatantly ignored), they will become really plastic-y and unreal. These were not meant to be seen so close, but it may also be because I have very high standards and am very hard to please. They’ll be perfect for young children (aren’t children supposed to be young?) and they look great in photos. I would know, I took quite a few. Since the place is dark, photographers will have to use the flash which actually helps in making the dinosaur look real in pictures. The reflection of the flash gives the dino skins a shiny glow, like a real giant lizard would have… not that I would know. I liked the raptors. After the path thing, you get out to a bright and just for children play area, which, by the way, is a total bummer! I want to play in the sand and ride the mini-train and bounce in the balloon thing. So what if I’m *cough* big *cough* and *cough* old *cough*? They should have made the things more uhm… adult friendly. Anyway, we watched a magic show for a while then looked around to get free food but the lines were too long so we left. Before we got out of the pseudo-cave exit, I dared Winston, and eventually myself, to touch an iguana. It felt weird, much weirder than a snake; fun and interesting, but weird. I want one.

That’s what I did last night. It was fun and I recommend going especially if you have kids. At least when you go there you can pretend you don’t want to be there and blame your children but yet secretly love each moment and maybe you’ll even let your kids have fun too. Sorry I don’t have links to information about the event. If you have some, kindly share it with me.
