February’s Box

I was fixing the dates on my calendar for various birthdays and whatnot when I noticed that February of 2009 starts on a Sunday and ends on a Saturday. It’s only possible with this month since it is the only one with the number of days that is divisible by 4 or 7 (Duh! I know other months can be divided by 4 or 7 but what I mean is it’s the only one that gives a whole number when divided by 4 or 7). Anyway, it’s not really special. It’s just that I am a lover of symmetry, order, “even”-ness (Note: Not adherently, of course. I only apply this principle on things that have the option to be symmetrical. It’s stupid to have a car with two steering wheels just for the sake of symmetry). It’s just fun, for me, to see the whole month start on a Sunday (the day that I consider as the start of the week) and end in Saturday (obviously, the one I consider as the end of the week). When I look at the calendar, it’s a perfect rectangle/quadrilateral. It’s nice. Clean. Oh, and another thing. Its thirteenth is on a friday.
