My First Sony Experience is with my Sony Walkman CD Player.

I have always loved music ever since I was young. I can still remember the song my mom used to sing when I was still a baby. As I was growing up, I learned to love music even more. Most of the music I’ve heard were the “oldies” because I could not reach, much less operate, our radio back then so my mom had complete control. I also listened to music with uhm… questionable taste that my yaya’s used to listen to. Still, I loved music and I forever will. It was when I was in elementary that I first saw a portable cassette tape player. I turned to all possible shades of green because of envy....

Throw me a bone.

I went to see a cool (figuratively and literally) place last night. I don’t usually enjoy going to places like this ’cause, as my friends will tell you, Im pretty much a killjoy. I guess I just don’t like people seeing me having fun. They might think I’m normal. (more…)

Want some “L”oving, anyone?

I had a wonderful day yesterday. We had the monthly staff meeting and since it was somewhat special, as all meetings are, there was picture taking. My officemate (is that still correct or is “colleague” more appropriate?) brought with him his DSLR camera. It was a Canon 30D with a 24-70mm f/2.8 USM L lens and a borrowed 580ex Canon flash. (more…)

G Clef and Insanity

I have realized something. My taste in music is uncouth. I like a lot if not all type of music which you might say is not so bad but believe me, it is. (more…)

Stuff that makes you go “Duh!”

I had a little problem this morning. It’s not a big problem but it was still a little harrowing. I was to suppose to have a self study session this morning but alas, I hit upon a little snag. My supervisor gave me a couple of files to peruse, some pdf’s and a few MS Word files and one really big MS Powerpoint file. Anyway, I had no problem with the pdf’s. I finished it quickly. Reading is not much of a problem with me, as I love it. Anyway, the snag was with both the MS Office files. He was using MS Office 2007. The company issued laptop I had was, naturally, using MS Office...

Memo to self: Stop being stupid.

Don’t mind this. Just skip it. Not for you to read. Just my…uhm… memo to self. (more…)

February’s Box

I was fixing the dates on my calendar for various birthdays and whatnot when I noticed that February of 2009 starts on a Sunday and ends on a Saturday. It’s only possible with this month since it is the only one with the number of days that is divisible by 4 or 7 (Duh! I know other months can be divided by 4 or 7 but what I mean is it’s the only one that gives a whole number when divided by 4 or 7). Anyway, it’s not really special. It’s just that I am a lover of symmetry, order, “even”-ness (Note: Not adherently, of course. I only apply this principle on things...

Nuffnang Movie Preview: Burn After Reading.

I was at the first Nuffnang Movie Premiere (BTW: I won tickets!!!). This is their first community event. From what they said, last night was a night for a lot of firsts. The movie was “Burn After Reading”, starred by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, John Malkovich, and a lot more. (more…)

Spying Over Burn After Reading

Now this is something. George Clooney AND Brad Pitt. What are the chances that they’ll be together in another movie. The Ocean’s XX series was and still is very fantastic. There’s just so few movies that all of it’s parts (prequels and sequels and what other -quels) was a success. Even the “Godfather” did not have that much luck. Anyway, though O’s XX was filled with many high profile actors, the two who was watched the most was the ring leaders, Danny and Rusty. Then another movie comes along that has these two together. I mean c’mon, that’s...

Buyer’s Need Not Beware

I am an avid Nikon fan. I cannot find anything wrong with a Nikon camera, and I don’t think I ever will. My mom bought a Nikon D60 kit, April of this year. She also bought a 55-200mm f/4-5.6 VR lens. That’s the equipment I used for most of my photos. Anyway, I will talk about my love for Nikon in a later article. What I want to talk to you about is the site I check almost everyday. It’s futile and sometimes it frustrates me to look at it but its gives me a goal, a point I want to get to someday. Jerry.ph is a site where you can order various Nikon cameras and accessories. Lenses,...

The First of Many

I will probably do a typical hello-hi as my first article. A little explanation of what I think is going to happen in this site. Also, maybe a little bit about me so as to further give you an idea why it’s like this. A little about you too. That would be nice, wouldn’t it? (more…)

Picassa: A Better, Easier, Faster Viewer.

As a photographer, I keep a billion (okay, maybe just 999,999,999) photos stored in my PC. A lot of it is from picture taking, some just collecting from the net. I have scanned pictures from my baby album, I have mangas, I have screenshot, rendered models, and a bunch of images I didn’t know I have. Organizing them is a pain. But thanks to Google and it’s generous people, I have Picassa to deal with this. Picassa is an organizer as well as a minor image editor. It has a very nice interface and very user friendly. Even my mom got the hang of it. It has a lot of features that I really...
